This meeting, held at Hampton Diner, Route 206, Newton, NJ, was called to order at 1:15 pm by President Dana Mooney.

Minutes from February 21, 2014 meeting were distributed to all members for approval. Motion was made by Jean McKenna, seconded by Shawna Janoch. All in favor.
The Treasurer’s report was available for this meeting. A motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made by Jessica Caruso, seconded by Jean McKenna. All in favor.
Joan Donat gave a report on the last State Association meeting. Upcoming conferences: NE Regional Conference in Bushkill, PA 09/07/14 – 09/10/14. The Saul Witties Conference will be on 10/02/14 in Holmdel, NJ.
A brief discussion of potential new legislation was held. Potential proposals of interest are A2538 – Revisions to operations of tax assessor’s office & would increase the charge for tax searches to $25.00. A2541 - The reduction of delinquent tax interest rate to 12%.
2013 Homestead Rebates will be applied to the 3rd Quarter 2014 Tax Payment.
There was a brief discussion on Electronic Tax Sales. It is a Pilot Program open to any Municipality. Email the State for more information.
Greenwich, NJ is looking for a part time Tax Collector.
A donation of $250 was sent to the TCTA Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund now has a balance of $3,000.00.
Low meeting attendance was discussed. Survey responses do not indicate an issue. The Executive Committee has decided no changes need to be made at this time.
Gail Magura reported on the Association’s new website. Vista Print is hosting the site at a cost of $86.00/year. Please note new website address: www.sussexwarrentcta.org. Please tax the time to look at the new site and direct any suggestions to Gail.
A letter has been prepared for distribution to potential Business/Associate Members. Please send suggestions and contact information to Dana Mooney.
Tax appeals were discussed. Make sure to work with the Tax Assessor to ensure manual changes are entered into Mod 4. Also advise your software vendor of any changes.
Division of Local Government Services Tax Collection Specialist, Pat Turin was in attendance to speak about Tax Billing and Senior/Veteran Reporting.
